IDG's MACWORLD Expo - the Creative World to Offer Professionals In-Depth
Technical Training Through Macworld/Pro Seminar
Tailored to the 56 percent of attendees from creative sector
NEW YORK -- Creative professionals attending next week's MACWORLD Expo -
the Creative World will get the chance to attend the acclaimed Macworld/Pro
conference, a technologically intensive professional development seminar
series lead by creative professionals for creative professionals.
In addition to Macworld/Pro, MACWORLD Expo - the Creative World will offer
a pre-show day-long conference focusing on very specific topics such as
digital creativity and networking.
Both the Macworld/Pro and the pre-show conference are designed specifically
for creative professionals from the new media, advertising, design, arts,
entertainment and publishing industries who derive benefit from in-depth
training courses in which they learn new techniques and tricks applicable
to their everyday jobs.
A pre-show survey by IDG Expo Management Company, producers of MACWORLD
Expo - the Creative World, reveals that 56 percent of all pre-registered
attendees for MACWORLD Expo are from the creative sector.
Macworld/Pro
Macworld/Pro, featuring more than 60 hours of instruction through 40
technical conference sessions, provides in-depth technical training and
information. The Macworld/Pro conference runs concurrently with MACWORLD
Expo July 8-10, at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City.
``Macworld/Pro is designed to help professionals grow their businesses by
getting the most out of the Macintosh,'' said MACWORLD Expo - the Creative
World show director Rob Scheschareg.
``In three intense days, professionals will undergo training, share tips
and learn new techniques that will allow them to get the most out of their
Macintosh and latest G3 products to ultimately realize true business
benefits. These conference programs are a must-attend for anybody involved
in new media, content asset management, Web development and graphics
arts/effects - everybody from cyberartists to network managers and
corporate buyers.''
Prominent graphic artists and designers, multimedia professionals,
consultants and lecturers will lead the seminar series.
Macworld/Pro participants can choose from five different session tracks:
1. Creating Digital Content, featuring techniques and instruction on how to
produce stunning digital content.
2. Content Asset Management, addressing the skills, tools and techniques
necessary to track, organize, store and re-purpose rich media such as text,
static graphics, animations, movie clips, photographs and hypertext links.
3. Macintosh Networking and Communications, helping professionals get the
most from their existing network or undertake state-of-the-art upgrades.
4. CyberWorld, highlighting connectivity, configuration and deployment
issues of Internet applications and how they affect the Mac community.
5. Managing the Mac Platform, presenting methods, practices and
technologies defining the role of Macintosh manager in a platform in
transition.
Macworld/Pro made its debut to critical acclaim in January at MACWORLD
Expo/San Francisco. ``We're confident attendees to Macworld/Pro at MACWORLD
Expo - the Creative World/New York will realize the same tremendous
business benefits and value,'' Scheschareg said.

World New York is offering 11 intensive, full- day workshops. The workshops
